What Past Participants Have Said
“The group and book have been a lifesaver! I can’t say enough good things about them and feel that every parent should have the opportunity to be in a gifted parent discussion group!”
“I do not feel as alone now.”
“I came into this group a little nervous and wondering what I would learn, just like everyone else. I’m leaving it knowing that I have made some good friendships and have gained a lot of knowledge about myself, my child, and how he perceives the world.”

Guided Discussion Group For Parents of Gifted Children
Addressing the Emotional and Social Needs of Gifted Children

Parents of gifted children often face different types of emotional and social issues with their children that other parents. They also find it hard to speak with friends about those emotional and social issues because parents of non-gifted children have difficulty empathizing. You now have the opportunity to discuss how to parent the emotional and social needs of your gifted child with parents who are experiencing the same issues.

As a certified discussion group facilitator through SENG:Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted, A Talented Mind conducts a 10-week guided discussion group for parents of gifted children. Group participants receive support, guidance, and professional advice through discussion with other parents and group facilitators. Parents also learn skills to nurture the self-concept and emotional development of talented children.
