Prepare For The Future Performing Artist

I work with performing artists from their early days in the arts to advanced professional levels. I observe how their positive and negative mental patterns and coping skills develop over time, affecting them more as they age. When they reach college and early professional levels, some patterns start to weigh them down. Because these patterns develop gradually, those of us supporting artists don’t notice them until they seriously affect the artist’s mental well-being and performance.

That's where The Future Performing Artist Trends series can help colleges, conservatories, and professional companies prepare to develop the future performing artist.

Trends In Failure Shame, and the Future Performing Artists

I've been studying upcoming trends to help arts organizations prepare for the future performing artist. The first trend series I've launched is The Future Performing Artist and The Rise of Failure Shame. This series explores how trends in growing failure shame in the arts will impact performing artists' mental health and performance over the next decade.

The series is designed to empower arts organizations to openly dialogue about how to help future performing artists better manage the effects of failure shame. You can read more about the trends below.

Please look out for the second trend series that is coming soon.
